Questions organisers ask

What is an Americano pickleball tournament?

An Americano is a social doubles format where you change partner every round. Every point you win counts towards your own total, and the player with the most points at the end wins. CourtOne builds the rotation so you play with and against as many people as possible.

How is Mexicano different from Americano?

Mexicano starts like an Americano, but from round two the pairings come from the current standings. Players near the top meet each other, so games stay close for the whole event.

Do players need to download CourtOne?

No. Only the organiser needs the app. Players can join with a code or QR code and follow the live leaderboard in any web browser.

Is CourtOne free?

Yes. You can run 3 tournaments for free with every feature included. Premium removes the limit, with monthly and yearly plans in the app.

Can I use CourtOne for padel?

Yes. Americano, Mexicano, Beat the Box and King of the Hill work the same way for padel, and many padel clubs use these formats every week.

How many players and courts can I have?

Most formats start at 4 or 8 players, and you set the number of courts to match your venue. Beat the Box runs with 8, 12 or 16 players.
