Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Court One (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Court One mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: your email address used for passwordless/magic-link authentication.
  • Profile information: display name, profile photo (if provided).
  • DUPR connection, if you choose to connect it: your DUPR email, account identifier, name, singles and doubles ratings, profile response, and access and refresh tokens. Your DUPR password is sent to DUPR to establish the connection and is not stored by Court One.
  • Tournament data: tournament names, scores, match results, and player information you enter while organising or participating in pickleball tournaments.
  • Communications: messages or feedback you send to us via in-app support or email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage data: features accessed, screens viewed, session duration, and crash reports.
  • Subscription data: purchase history and subscription status managed through RevenueCat.
  • Analytics data: aggregated, de-identified data about how users interact with the App.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Connect to DUPR and retrieve your ratings when you request it or when a saved rating is over 24 hours old.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
  • Process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat.
  • Display tournament scores, standings, and results to participants.
  • Send transactional emails, including magic-link authentication emails.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App, including RevenueCat (subscription management) and cloud hosting providers, subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Other tournament participants: tournament-related information such as your display name and match scores may be visible to other participants in the same tournament.
  • Legal requirements: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent: in any other circumstances with your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App’s services. Disconnecting DUPR removes its saved connection, tokens, and rating data from Court One. Deleting your Court One account also removes the saved DUPR connection. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@courtone.app. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your information.
  • Data portability (where applicable).

8. International Data Transfers

Court One operates primarily in Southeast Asia. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take appropriate steps to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy or by providing in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
